David was born in Slough a much wanted son of Derek and Sheila, a cherished baby brother to Dabbie and I. At 3 years old ,  his first West Ham Kit, swallowed him up, He was so diddy, the shirt falling below his knees the flared shorts to his ankles, the cutest football boots ever and he wore the cheekiest grin on his face...he was smitten. There followed a lifetime of Love and loyal support in good times and bad. From all corners of the world he rarely missed a match. His passion, never gave way to disappointment, he celebrated a win, and wept with them when they lost.  This was David. With each of us. Once you had captured his heart, he was loyal, he would cheer you on from the sidelines, or on the pitch, he would smile when you were winning, and weep with you if you felt lost.  When Dave was 6, dad started up a local under 7’s team, with his friend Jim Watson, so both the

David was born in Slough, a much wanted son of Sheila and Derek, a cherished baby brother to Debbie and I. We knew we loved him from the beginning, we learnt over the years how privileged and honoured we were to be his big sisters. Our first real memory of significance was when David was a diddy 3 year old dressed in an oversized West Ham Kit, the top coming down over his knees, the flared shorts, down to his ankles, the cutest football boots ever, and the biggest grin on his cheeky face. The boy was smitten.  I Think all of you know that Tids lived and breathed West Ham for the next 53 years,..loyally supporting them from all corners of the world, rarely missing a match.  Ouar dad continued to ‘forever blow bubbles’ with him, keeping up with their teams antics good and bad, right up til Dave was too poorly to talk. A family man with Christian values and a deep faith he was keen to share. His devoted family, are committed Christians, with hearts to serve. They are well know among so many communities and different churches in Newbury and Hungerford. They have all volunteered in various places over many years.   Our dear friend, youth worker, wonderful servant of God, husband of a beautiful young mummy, recovering from cancer, incredible dad to two beautiful young girls, amazing son of a dear dear friend, and his long term very poorly wife, and best big brother to a quiet humble and kind young gentleman, has died. Suddenly. No prior warning for our hearts to prepare. It feels like this gentle giant always dressed in shorts, sporty T-shirt and a smile...Has been abducted leaving a cavernous hole in a huge community that spans two towns and many decades. 38 years Young. Taken ill  on Sunday with Pancreatitis, rushed into hospital. A zillion Prayers stormed Heaven for this beautiful man, as word got out.  Yet he didn’t recover. Jesus would have greeted him with open arms. Hugged him. Explained why.  His family will have to wait for the ‘why’. In their shock, and brokenness, the prayers from the hearts of family and friends will be heard. Our prayers for  His  infinite Grace to be poured into th
